Cancerous

When people assume it only succeeds in doing one thing, it makes an ass out of u and me.  It never ceases to amaze me the fact that people assume they know your business and how poisonous an assumption can really be when ill-informed and delivered from a position of authority.

Why is it that people take a small piece of information and decide to run with it?  That little mis-informed morsel of detail or the portion of the conversation heard out of context.  Some people have a tendency to cram their nose so far into peoples business, sleuthing that next little partial detail that they end up conjuring up quite interesting scenarios and events.

For the sake of friendships, reputation and well being, avoid assumption like the plague.  It's a cancer that will only eat away at you and those around you.  In the end I can only guess that it will leave the one who delivers the sour treat, secluded and alone.

Am I passionate?  Sure.  I've certainly gotten caught in a situation where I've made assumptions about people and for that I am profoundly sorry.  It is a decision.  It is a choice and you can make it, to go face to face out of respect for another human being.
